Federico Albanese is a genre-defying Italian musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He returns to Pavilion Theatre to celebrate the February 2025 release of his highly anticipated fifth album Blackbirds and the Sun of October – his first full-length for Sony’s new innovative, cross-genres label imprint XXIM Records. His cinematic instrumental tracks, blending contemporary classical, pop, and electronic ambience, struck an instant chord for their airy, meditative beauty.

Having moved to Berlin from his native Italy, he wrote and recorded four albums over his eight years there; each adored by critics and fans alike. Blackbirds and the Sun of October, on the other hand, was created back home in the northern Italian countryside, and draws directly from the physical world around him – its history, nature, and beauty. Audiences can expect a profound evening of sweeping, emotional music that transcends genre.
