Frequently Asked Questions
Ticketing Information:
Who needs a ticket?
Everyone attending an event at Pavilion Theatre requires a ticket, except children under 2 years*. Some events may be free, but ticketed. Everyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult and have a valid ticket.
*For family events that are designed for children under 3 years, tickets must be purchased for the children within the age guidance range.
Please note that small babies and children may not be allowed into certain shows. This is at the venue/company's discretion.
Why is there a booking fee?
We charge a booking fee of €1 per ticket, regardless of the point of sale location. This is to cover the increasing costs of running the theatre, as well as the credit card charges. It also goes towards ensuring that Pavilion Theatre can continue providing their patrons with the best live theatre we can, from Ireland and overseas.
What do I do if I’ve lost my ticket / can’t find the confirmation email?
No worries! We will be more than happy to reprint your physical tickets or resend the confirmation email (which includes the digital version of the tickets). With the unique QR included on each ticket, we can be assured that no tickets can be copied or reused.
Can I return tickets/get a refund?
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded unless an event is cancelled by the venue. Customers cannot resell unwanted tickets in or around Pavilion Theatre at any time. Please contact the Box Office if you can longer attend an event or have an unwanted ticket.
What constitutes a student concession?
A student ticket applies to anyone currently in education (primary, secondary or third level education). Proof of attendance may be requested.

A Senior Citizen concession rate applies to all customers aged 65 years and older.
What does a Family Ticket include?
A Family Ticket includes 4 tickets. These tickets can be any combination of children and adults, with a minimum of one child and one adult as part of the group. To book a family ticket please select at least 4 seats, and confirm selection, then on the right hand side change the 'Full Price' to 'Family Ticket' using the drop down menu. If you are having any issues, do contact the Box Office - 01 231 2929
Can my tickets be posted?
We recommend that customers use the digital version of their tickets, included in the confirmation / reminder emails, to enter the auditorium. Customers can, of course, collect their physical tickets from the Box Office before a performance if needed.
If you wish for tickets to be posted, this can be accommodated, however we are trying to reduce this.

Where does my donation go?
Firstly, thank you for your donation, or for considering donating.
All donations are put towards the upkeep of the theatre, as well as ensuring that our facilities are up to the standards that our patrons expect.
In recent years your donations have allowed us to upgrade the PA / Audio system across the building, install a top-of-the-line lift, and buy a new projector to ensure our famous Monday Night Cinema screenings are as professional as possible. This summer, we have already restored our Gallery wooden floor back to it's pre-Covid speldour, and given our backstage area a much needed lick of paint.
